Hawaii Guard members and Indonesian Soldiers share military tactics

Senior Master Sgt. Fred “Wes” Hudgins, personnel superintendent for the Arizona Air National Guard’s Joint Force Headquarters, was recognized as the top First Sgt. For the National Guard in 2012. Throughout his career, he has used his competitive successes in automotive racing to keep him at the top of his game as he inspires new Airmen to be the best they can be.

California National Guard member rescues woman from sinking car

Sgt. 1st Class Michael Long holds an award recognizing him as the California Army National Guard's top recruiter for 2015, having enlisted 31 new, non-prior-service soldiers, Dec. 4 at Camp San Luis Obispo, Calif. Only a few weeks later, on Dec. 30, Long would jump into Markham Ravine near Lincoln to rescue a woman who was trapped in her sinking car. With the help of a retired Airman and a California Highway Patrol officer, Long was able to help the woman to safety.

Retired Army nurse praised for stellar military service

Representatives from Lithuania's Army Training Center visited the installation Feb. 2, 2016, to get an in-depth look at the operation of some of the training facilities located here‬ and gauge best practices and lessons learned in operating them as they develop similar live-fire and combined-arms training resources to train their soldiers. The Pennsylvania National Guard established a relationship with Lithuania in 1993 as part of the ‪National Guard‬'s State Partnership Program.
