  • Ironstorm: 1-101st Field Artillery in Kenya March 23, 2026

    Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 101st Field Artillery Regiment, Massachusetts Army National Guard, and Kenya Defence Force, conduct multiple days of training at, Laresoro, Kenya, Feb. 28 - March 11, 2026. During the training, field artillerymen cover multiple tables of fire including Table VI certification which validated artillery crews’ ability to safely and accurately execute fire missions under live-fire conditions, ensuring technical proficiency and readiness before advancing to the combined arms live fire training exercise.   • National Guard March 2026 SITREP March 31, 2026

    The National Guard delivered for the nation throughout March, supporting homeland operations, strengthening warfighting readiness, and reinforcing global partnerships. Guard members supported ongoing operations in the Middle East, executed complex aerial refueling missions, and trained in extreme environments to enhance combat effectiveness. They also responded to wildfires and severe weather at home, while strengthening emergency response capabilities alongside civilian partners. These efforts extended overseas, where Guard members trained and competed with allied forces, reinforcing interoperability and enduring partnerships around the world—demonstrating the continued commitment of the National Guard’s 430,000 Citizen Soldiers and Airmen.     Pennsylvania Army National Guard Soldiers participated in the Lithuanian Land Forces Best Infantry Squad Competition in Rukla, Lithuania, March 4–5, 2026, taking second place in the foreign squad category as they competed alongside NATO allies and partners. U.S. Army Staff Sgt. James Rudershausen, with the Pennsylvania Army Guard squad that competed, shares how the multi-national event strengthened interoperability and readiness.     Over 450 Soldiers and Airmen trained, survived, and performed in near-arctic weather conditions during Northern Strike 26-1 across Northern Michigan’s National All-Domain Warfighting Center, Jan. 26-29. Exercise Northern Strike 26-1 is a Joint National Training Capability accredited, Army-sponsored, National Guard Bureau program. The exercise is tailorable, scalable, and cost-effective for readiness.
