Chilean forces compete in Texas Guard Best Warrior Competition

Pfc. Marcial Ortiz, Chilean navy, competes in the obstacle course portion of the Texas Military Department's 2016 Best Warrior Competition at Camp Swift in Bastrop, Texas, Feb. 6, 2016. Traditionally a joint competition with competitors from the Texas Army and Air National Guards, this year's event invited service members from the U.S. Army Reserves component and the Chilean military to compete in the three-day grueling competition, testing the aptitude of each competitor in several mentally and physically challenging events relevant in today's operational environment.
New video series will help Soldiers get and stay in shape

Guard Your Health recently launched its #WarriorReady Workout Video series, which includes 15-second videos that demonstrate how to do quick, high-intensity workouts. The workouts are customizable and can be done anywhere. There are 14 different workout videos and each one focuses on a full-body workout.

Lt. Col. William LeCates, a New York Army National Guard doctor, stands with Capt. Joseph Kowo, deputy commander of the Armed Forces of Liberia Medical Command, during his 2015 deployment to Liberia as part of Operation Onward Liberty, a mission conducted by the Michigan Army National Guard. LeCates, who works as a civilian doctor in Cooperstown, New York, was deployed in Liberia for six months as part of the training and mentoring mission.
