109th Airmen call South Pole home as they package old equipment for shipment north

Pallets of  excess and obsolete materials are placed in position outside the National Science Foundation's Amundsen-Scott Station at the South Pole in January 2016. A team of three New York Air National Guard Airmen built 73 pallets in 11 days so the unneeded items can be hauled away later this year.
