New York Army National Guard medic earns Expert Field Medical Badge

Pfc. Luke Deboer, a candidate for the Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB), prepares a simulated casualty for movement during EFMB qualification testing, which was held at Fort Drum, N.Y. from Aug. 20 to Sept. 2. Out of a field of 239 medics, 29 bested a 12-mile ruck march, a written test, simulated combat training lanes and other challenges to earn the EFMB.
Singing Sergeant continues century-old national anthem tradition

Eric Sullivan, a baritone vocalist with the United States Air Force Band’s “Singing Sergeants”, sings “The Star-Spangled Banner” before an NFL football game at Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill., Oct. 2, 2016. Sullivan performed the national anthem for an audience of more than 60,800 people as part of the unit’s community relations mission.

South Carolina National Guard shares importance of reserve force with Colombian leaders

Livingston’s discussions included the advantages of having a reserve force and challenges of developing a robust reserve component. The South Carolina National Guard and the Colombian military began the State Partnership relationship in July 2012 and have continued to deepen the partnership.
