Guard plays key role in inauguration

Pvt. 2nd Class David Niedlinger, a fire support specialist with Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 1st Squadron, 158th Cavalry Regiment, Maryland National Guard, gives directions to lost spectators before inauguration ceremonies for President Elect Barack Obama, Tuesday, Jan. 20. Rhode Island National Guard members in town to support the presidential inauguration situate themselves in the East Gym at Andrews Air Force Base, Md., on Jan. 16, 2009.
