Master Sgt. Eric Anderson of the Indiana National Guard's 38th Combat Aviation Brigade celebrates the Indianapolis Colts 30-17 win over the New York Jets in the AFC championship game at Joint Base Balad, Iraq, Jan. 25. The Shelbyville, Ind.-based unit deployed to Iraq in August in support of Operation Iraq Freedom, and the unit's Soldiers provide air-to-ground support aviation missions for United States Forces-Iraq.

Air Force Gen. Texas ANG prepares for Haiti duty

An RC-26 from the 147th Reconnaissance Wing of the Texas Air National Guard that has proven its value during many of the recent domestic emergencies is being deployed to Haiti this week. The RC-26, an aircraft traditionally used in support of drug interdiction and law enforcement missions, was heavily used during Hurricanes Katrina and many storms thereafter, but has also seen many rotations overseas.
