Air crews from the California Army National Guard take off in a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter as they take part in wildfire suppression efforts in Northern California. The North Dakota Army National Guard's 817th Engineer Company (Sapper), Jamestown, are working with their Ghanaian partners in an exchange visit during annual training. The Sappers are using crater charges and other explosives. North Dakota and Ghana are linked through the Department of Defense-sponsored State Partnership Program.
