Afghanistan: South Carolina Air Guard "Swamp Foxes" ensure effective air support firepower

ir Force Staff Sgt. Tim Alewine, a munitions specialist with the 451st Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron, makes necessary adjustments to the tail assemblies of a GBU-38 Joint Direct Attack Munitions at the Tri-National Ammunition Supply Point June 15, 2012. Alewine is currently deployed from the 169th Fighter Wing out of McEntire Joint National Guard Base, S.C., supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. "Swamp Fox" F-16 Fighting Falcons, their pilots, and support personnel began their air expeditionary force deployment in early April to take over the air tasking order and provide close air support for troops on the ground in Afghanistan.
