Nevada Air Guard's 152nd AW completes first MAFFS activation

A C-130 Hercules aircraft with the Nevada Air National Guard’s 152nd Airlift Wing sits on the flight line at Reno Air National Guard Base in Reno, Nev., as aircrews from the unit return from flying missions with the Modular Airborne Firefighting System combatting wildfires in Oregon and Idaho. Texas Guard support Louisiana neighbors and battle buddies in need

Texas Army National Guard Cadet David Williams, 149th Attack-Reconnaissance Battalion, and a current resident of Baton Rouge in Houston collected supplies to bring to Louisiana Guardsmen who lost their homes to the recent flooding in Baton Rouge, August 21, 2016. Texas Guardsmen from the unit collected more than 20 bags of clothes, appliances, tools, diapers, baby formula and food for the victims of the natural disaster and transported them more than 250 miles for the guardsmen and their families.
South Carolina National Guard shares importance of reserve force with Colombian leaders

Livingston, Jr., the adjutant general of South Carolina, participates in a panel discussion during the Colombian Army Transformation Symposium, Bogota, Colombia, Aug. 5, 2016. Livingston’s discussions included the advantages of having a reserve force and challenges of developing a robust reserve component. The South Carolina National Guard and the Colombian military began the State Partnership relationship in July 2012 and have continued to deepen the partnership.
