Airman 1st Class Devon Carroll, a member of the 260th Air Traffic Control Squadron-New Hampshire Air National Guard, begins installation of external fuel tank mounts on a MEP805 Generator. The generator is being prepared for deployment to Haiti along with the units mobile control tower and about 12 personnel in support of relief efforts after the recent earthquake.

Command visit readies Wyoming Soldiers for demobilization

Wyoming Army National Guard Chief of Staff, Col. Greg Porter, briefs a group of Wyoming Soldiers about the current state of Wyoming and the road to demobilization during a visit to Camp Virginia, Kuwait, on Jan. 18, 2010. Porter was part of a small contingency of Wyoming National Guard Joint Force Headquarters staff who visited the brigade to ensure a successful reintegration process upon the unit's return this spring.

Coronet Oak aircrews respond to Haiti earthquake

Senior Master Sgt. Dennis Karl, a C-130 Hercules flight engineer, and 1st Lt.Casey Fallon, a C-130 co-pilot, were serving on their scheduled Coronet Oak rotation with the 35th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron at Mu?iz Air National Guard Base, Puerto Rico when an alert was issued after the earthquake in Haiti. Both Airmen are Guardsmen with the 179th Airlift Wing at Mansfield, Ohio. Their Jan. 22, 2010 flight was their sixth mission in support of Operation Unified Response.

National Guard responding to winter storms

A UH-60 Blackhawk crew from the Arizona National Guard are on duty to evacuate personnel and transport water throughout the state. The Nevada National Guard sent CH-47 Chinook and two additional UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters to delivery relief supplies and conduct medical evacuations if needed in flooded communities around Flagstaff and northern Arizona.
