ANG Security Forces protect Ardent Sentry participants

Staff Sgt. Josh Hartzell and Senior Airman Vanessa Garcia, both of the 165th Security Forces Squadron of the Georgia Air National Guard, provide perimeter security for the Avengers during Exercise Ardent Sentry 2010 in Savannah, Ga. The Avenger plays an instrumental part during the four-day exercise to demonstrate air defense capabilities.
Guard CBRNE Challenge Team wins Air Force-wide event

The Air National Guard Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Challenge Team took first place overall in last week's Air Force-wide CBRN competition held at the Center for National Response in Charleston, W.V. Team members included from left to right: Tech Sgt. Tim Booth of the 188th Fighter Wing based in Fort Smith, Ark., Tech Sgt. Morgan Smith of the 173rd Fighter Wing based in Klamath Falls, Ore., Lt. Col. Bill Antoszewski and Tech Sgt. Ann McCormick, both of the 180th Fighter Wing based in Toledo, Ohio, and Tech Sgt. Jeff Sharpmack of the 189th Airlift Wing based in Little Rock, Ark.

Croatian and Minnesota National Guard Soldiers prepare to clear a room during an Operational Mentoring and Liaison Team training exercise at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center. The U.S. and multinational troops will deploy together to Afghanistan as part of the NATO International Security Assistance Force. The OMLT will help with the ISAF mission of assisting the Government of Afghanistan in establishing and maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Chief Warrant Officer-2 Lucas Bohm (left) along with Chief Warrant Officer-2 Lance Stafford, helicopter pilots assigned to the Illinois Army National Guard, help outfit one of their Tunisian Army counterparts with a U.S. Air Force issue chemical suit during the Medlite-10 Exerise. Chiefs Stafford and Bohm, along with Air National Guard and Army Reservists from Wyoming, Arizona, and Nevada traveled to northern Africa to help enhance the medical capabilities and interoperabilities between United States and Tunisian forces.
