New York National Guard Soldiers compete for Best Warrior and German badge honors at the same time

Soldiers participating in the New York Army National Guard's annual Best Warrior competition engage targets with the  M9 pistol March 27, 2015, at Camp Smith Training Site, near Peekskill, New York. The pistol was added to the competition so Soldiers could earn the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge, along with competing for Best Warrior. The pistol event requires the firers to shoot two targets each at the prone, kneeling and standing positions.
