Nevada Air Guard members help provide relief to Lemmon Valley Flood

Members of the 152nd Airlift Wing's Security Forces Squadron, based in Reno, assist local authorities in the Lemmon Valley flood area in March, 2017. Guard personnel are helping to provide traffic control and other flood recovery services.
New York Air Guard Pararescuemen test Orion spacecraft rescue support equipment in Hawaii

Pararescuemen and Combat Rescue Officers with the New York Air National Guard's 103rd Rescue Squadron, 106th Rescue Wing, supported by the Hawaii Air National Guard's 154th Wing, 204th Airlift Squadron, jump from a C-17 into the waters off Joint Base Pearl Harbor- Hickam on March 7, 2017, as they conduct training to test new spacecraft recovery techniques and equipment that will be used to recover the crew module of NASA's Orion spacecraft. The Airmen were in Hawai for two weeks as part of Operation Ardent Sentry.
Pennsylvania Guard assists civilians and authorities in Winter Storm Stella

During the height of Winter Storm Stella, Pennsylvania National Guard members assisted the Pennsylvania State Police, Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and local first responders in the transporting of a 23-month-old baby in need of an emergency medical procedure from Mt. Pocono Medical Center in East Stroudsburg to Geisinger Children’s Hospital in Danville March 14, 2017.

Copper 5 was the call sign for a Boeing KC-135A Stratotanker aerial refueling jet from the 161st that was involved in a mid-air collision with a civilian plane, killing the four person aircrew on Mar. 13, 1982.

Davis, along with other traditional Guardsmen, flew a max-fly effort that utilized only traditional Airmen.
