South Dakota Guard members train for duty at Presidential Inauguration

Soldiers from the 235th Military Police Company and Airmen from the 114th Security Forces Squadron practice crowd control techniques in Sioux Falls S.D., in preparation for the 58th Presidential Inauguration.  The South Dakota National Guard will be sending 150 Soldiers and Airmen to provide support to the inauguration in Washington, D.C., Jan. 20.

South Carolina National Guard strengthens State Partnership Program while fighting wildfires

A South Carolina Army National Guard CH-47 Chinook from Det. 1, Bravo Company, 2-238th General Support Aviation Battalion with Soldiers from Donaldson Field in Greenville, South Carolina, responded to a request for help from the South Carolina Forestry Commission to contain fires burning near the top of Pinnacle Mountain in in Pickens County, South Carolina, Nov. 15, 2016.  The aircraft is equipped with a Bambi Bucket, which can be filled with any available water to be transported and dumped on the fire.
