Maryland National Guard partners with Estonian bomb squad to save lives

Staff Sgts. Michael Davis, Jr., and Margaret Taylor, members of the 29th Mobile Public Affairs detachment, prepare the lab scene of the awareness video. The U.S. Army European Command's Humanitarian Mining Action program brought the Estonian Rescue Board and Maryland National Guard Soldiers together to create public service announcements. The purpose of this project is to raise awareness of and educate the public about the unexploded ordnance issue in Estonia.

South Carolina National Guard hosts state partnership visit with Colombian army

The South Carolina National Guard established a formal state partnership with Colombia in 2012 and has conducted multiple engagements to share ideas to assist both partners with equipment maintenance programs.

Guard engineers from Louisiana and Oregon in Kuwait complete much-needed housing project

Spc. Zenas Sigrah and Spc. Kevin Lucas work on installing pipe for plumbing in the support trailers recently at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait. The project was part of an effort to expand housing units for Soldiers assigned to Camp Arifjan. The base has seen its numbers increase with the drawdown in Afghanistan and the beginning of Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq.
