JTF-East training rotating from Romania to Bulgaria

Soldiers train on the Engagement Skills Trainer 2000 at Mihail Kogalniceanu Airbase, Romania. Some 900 Soldiers are now in Romania, as part of Joint Task Force - East, to conduct training there with members of the Romanian military.
Texas military forces ready for Hurricane Dolly landfall

Army Sergeant 1st Class Jeff Printy marshals in nine light-medium tactical vehicles deployed from San Antonio to the Standing Joint InterAgency Task Force headquarters located at the Army National Guard Armory July 22 in Weslaco, Texas. Texas lilitary forces came to southern Texas in anticipation of heavy flood relief efforts caused by Hurricane Dolly.

A RED HORSE rises in Ohio

With the activation of a new 200-person detachment, Airmen from the Ohio Air National Guard's 200th RED HORSE squadron stand in formation during the detachment's flagging ceremony July 20 at Mansfield Air Guard Base, Ohio. RED HORSE squadrons are manned by civil engineers who can build and repair air bases and rapidly deploy to recover an air base after a natural disaster or enemy attack.
