National Guard responds to multiple domestic disasters

Army Sgt. Frank, an infantryman in Company A, 1st Battalion, 151st Infantry
Regiment of the Indiana National Guard, counts life jackets at an armory
April 25, 2011, during the National Guard's response to flooding in the
area. The 151st Infantry and several other units amounting to approximately
250 Soldiers were mobilized to state active duty in response to the flooding
in Gibson, Knox, Daviess and Posey counties due to near record numbers of
rainfall. Soldiers are assisting in sandbagging operations, transporting displaced civilians to shelters, search and rescue missions, debris removal and damage
assessment.

MAFFS plays key role in National Guard response to Texas wildfires
