National Guard kicks off "grass roots" solutions program for all service members

Army Brig. Gen. Marianne Watson, the director of Manpower and Personnel at the National Guard Bureau, signs the agreement between the NGB and the Corporation for National Community Service March 13, 2013, in Wilmington, Del., for the NGB Joining Community Forces initiative. The new initiative is a community level, grass roots solution program that expands on the Joining Forces campaign of first lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden. JCF focuses on supporting all service members, families, and veterans in the areas of employment, education, across all components.
