Florida National Guard preparing for Tropical Storm Isaac

A member of the 192nd Intelligence Squadron prepares for a flight in a Civil Air Patrol aircraft worked together with the Civil Air Patrol during Commonwealth Guardian, a training exercise where members of the squadron worked with CAP personnel to deliver real-time geospatial information of areas affected by a simulated severe weather event.
Ohio National Guard engineers work with Serbian Armed Forces on school reconstruction project

Soldiers and Airmen from the Ohio National Guard and soldiers with the Serbian army's 2nd Army Brigade paint the exterior fence of the Svetozar Markovic Primary School Aug. 13, 2012, in Kraljevo, Serbia. As part of the State Partnership Program, the Ohio National Guard's 1194th Engineer Company and 200th RED HORSE Squadron, and the Serbian 2nd Army Brigade are working side by side to repair the school, which was damaged by an earthquake in late 2010.

Idaho National Guard moves out to support wildfire suppression efforts

More than 100 Soldiers and Airmen of the Idaho Guard have been called out to support the battle against the Trinity Wildfire and will be performing security, medical evacuation and aerial firefighting roles.

California Army, Air Guard aviators engaged in state-wide wildfire fight

A California Air National Guard C-130J Hercules, equipped with a Modular Airborne Firefighting System, drops retardant on a wildfire near Twin Falls, Idaho, Aug. 8, 2012. The 146th Airlift Wing currently has two C-130Js and about 30 personnel who have been activated since June 30, 2012, to assist the U.S. Forest Service fighting fires in the Northwest and other parts of the country.
