Members of the 920th Rescue Wing and the 249th Airlift Squadron conduct a pre-mission briefing aboard a C-17 Globemaster III aircraft at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, Jan. 14, 2016, before departing for a simulated astronaut rescue mission. Va. National Guard continues assistance after historic snowstorm

The first aid crew was unable to reach the location of the call with their ambulance, so the Soldiers drove them to the residence, cleared them a path in the snow, then transported the patient back to the ambulance for evacuation.
