New Jersey Air National Guard civil engineers check the level of a galvanized pipe from a gravity fed water supply tank at medical clinic in Vau i Dejës, Albania, on July 8, 2016. The 177th Fighter Wing unit members traveled to Albania on a Deployment For Training (DFT) and worked on Humanitarian and Civic Assistance renovation projects facilitated by the U.S. Army's 457th Civil Affairs Battalion. New Jersey and Albania are paired under the National Guard's State Partnership Program.
Air Guard units provide critical communications link for Northern Strike exercise

A communications radar unit operated by the 264th Combat Communications Squadron stands ready during Exercise Northern Strike at the Combat Training Readiness Center in Alpena, Mich., on Aug. 9, 2016. Northern Strike 16 is a National Guard Bureau-sponsored exercise uniting approximately 5,000 Army, Air Force, Marine and Special Forces service members from 20 states and three coalition countries during the first three weeks of August 2016 at the Camp Grayling Joint Maneuver Training Center and the Alpena Combat Readiness Training Center, both located in northern Michigan.

New York Army National Guard CH-47 F model left the Army Aviation Support Facility in Rochester, N.Y. for Stratton Air National Guard Base in Schenectady, N.Y. on July 27, 2016, aviators and crew members from Detachment 1, Company B, 3rd Battalion 126th Aviation Regiment picked up service members from the New York National Guard’s 2nd Weapons of Mass Destruction Civil Support Team (CST) and landed at the Burlington Air National Guard Base in Vermont. The Battalion is part of the 42nd Combat Aviation Brigade.
