Utah Guard special unit assists with ricin investigation

The Utah National Guard’s 85th Weapons of Mass Destruction-Civil Support Team (CST) assisted federal investigators Oct. 10, 2018, at a house in Logan, Utah, during a probe of ricin-tainted mail sent to U.S. officials.

Va. crews train, build trust with W. Va. special operators

Virginia National Guard flight crews provide aviation support to Soldiers assigned to the West Virginia National Guard’s 19th Special Forces Group Sept. 5, 2018, over Lake Erie near Buffalo, New York. The flight crews, assigned to the Sandston-based 2nd Battalion, 224th Aviation Regiment, 29th Infantry Division, dropped the operators into the lake while boats from Hamburg Water Rescue, Town of Hamburg Police, the U.S. Coast Guard and the Department of Homeland Security worked together to retrieve the troops and return to land.
