Kentucky celebrates two-year state partnership with Djibouti

Indiana railhead mission improves efficiency and provides training opportunity

California Guard called up to fight fire; Colorado expands its fire role

Helicopter bucket operations performed June 21, 2013, by a CH-47 Chinook crew from the Colorado Army National Guard's 2nd Battalion of the 135th Aviation Regiment, stationed at Buckley Air Force Base, Aurora, Colo. Guard members in Arizona, California, Colorado and Wyoming are assisting in fire operations.

Ohio Guard group balances joint medical training with real-world medical care

Ohio National Guard conducts water crossing exercises with Hungarian forces

GYOR, Hungary - Military vehicles belonging to 1st squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, Vilseck, Germany, are ferried over the Danube River during a rehearsal river crossing at Gyor, July 4. The ferry is employed by 837th Brigade Engineer Battalion, Ohio National Guard, and 37th Engineer Regiment, Hungarian Ground Forces. The exercise, Szentes Axe, a Hungarian-led exercise under Saber Guardian, facilitates the freedom of movement for 2nd Cavalry Regiment as the unit moves into Romania for more training with NATO Allies and partners. NGB team recognized for program that improves info flow during domestic response ops

Soldiers with the California Army National Guard’s 578th Brigade Engineer Battalion and 40th Brigade head out while responding to wildfires in July 2016. Last year’s California wildfire response saw one of the first uses of the Domestic Operations Awareness and Assessment Tool, or DAART, a web-based program that pulls together geospatial information from a variety of sources including terrain and mapping data, video feeds from overhead aircraft and satellite imagery.
