NY Guard to compete in South Africa military skills contest
October 10, 2019
New York Army National Guardsmen from Company C, 2nd Battalion,108th Infantry, (Center) based in Gloversville, New York, join South African soldiers in a target shooting competition in Potchefstroom, South Africa, in November 2010. Ten New York National Guard Soldiers and Airmen will participate in the 2019 competition Oct. 21-26.

Cal Guard supports civilian search and rescue training

Volunteer search and rescue personnel practice basic helicopter orientation during the safety and awareness course Oct. 4-6 at Walker Creek Ranch, Petaluma, Calif. PRNG ships provide ferry service to Vieques, Culebra

The Puerto Rico National Guard loads vehicles at its pier in Roosevelt Roads, Ceiba, Oct. 7, 2019, for a trip to the island of Vieques. Gov. Wanda Vazquez Garced activated the PRNG to provide cargo ferry service to Vieques and Culebra after two Maritime Transport Authority vessels suffered mechanical problems. The journey to the Islands takes nearly three hours roundtrip, depending on conditions.
