National Guard program tackles critical warrant officer shortage

Some of 119 newly minted Army National Guard and Army Reserve warrant officers wait to enter their appointment ceremony in the Indiana World War Memorial Building on Sept. 30, 2006. The Citizen-Soldiers were in the first Warrant Officer Candidate class designed specifically for the National Guard and Reserve in a program developed by the National Guard Bureau and command chief warrant officers from several states to address a critical shortage of warrant officers.
