Arkansas Guard stays in touch with Guatemalan partners

The Arkansas National Guard held a videoconference with key military leaders from Guatemala on COVID-19 best practices and other issues May 6, 2020, as part of the State Partnership Program. The meeting was scheduled in March in Guatemala but was changed to a videoconference due to the coronavirus.

Polish military medical team joins Illinois' virus response

Nine members of the Polish military’s Medical Corps arrive in Chicago to support the state’s response to COVID-19 April 23, 2020. The Polish doctors, nurses, and emergency medical technicians recently treated COVID-19 patients in Italy and Poland. They are visiting Illinois as part of the Illinois National Guard’s State Partnership Program with the Polish military.

Connecticut Guard, Uruguay share COVID-19 best practices

Ralph Hedenberg, right, dual-status commander of forces in Connecticut, talks by videoconference with Karina Rando, head of the COVID-19 task force for the Uruguayan Ministry of Public Health, and Uruguayan Colonel Antonio Nunes, the military liaison to SINAE - the Uruguayan equivalent to FEMA, to share best practices for fighting COVID-19. The Connecticut Guard and Uruguay have a 20-year relationship under the National Guard's State Partnership Program.

NC, Alabama Guard complete Fire Shield 2019 in Moldova

Moldovan Artillery soldiers prepare a fire mission during Operation Fire Shield 2019 hosted by Moldova Sept. 12, 2019, at Bulboaca Training Area, Moldova.   Fire Shield’s mission is sharing knowledge and best practices among the North Carolina and Alabama National Guard artillery experts, Moldovan soldiers and officers and other nations attending the annual event. The NCNG has teamed with Moldova for more than two decades via the State Partnership Program designed to increase peace and stability across Europe.
