Texas National Guard hosts Egyptian Armed Forces for summit

The Texas National Guard hosted senior officers from the Egyptian Armed Forces for a week-long summit at the end of September. The Texas National Guard formally established a partnership with the Arab Republic of Egypt through the National Guard State Partnership Program in June.

Wisconsin National Guard builds partnership with Nicaragua

A donated firetruck is offloaded for use by the Boberos de Esteli, a firefighting organization from the mountainous area of northern Nicaragua. The Wisconsin National Guard helps support Denton Flights, an aid program that uses U.S. military aircraft as space is available to transport relief supplies, as part of its State Partnership Program relationship with Nicaragua.

Task Force Phoenix halfway through Middle East mission

A U.S. Army AH-64 Apache attack helicopter from Task Force Wolfpack, 1st Attack Battalion, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, flies over northern Iraq. Wolfpack's highly lethal Apaches serve as air weapons teams on 24-hour alert. They also provide overwatch during ground operations, convoy escort and reconnaissance in support of base defense.

Pa. Guard, Lithuanians train together in platoon exchange

Thirty-three Soldiers from Lithuania’s land forces reserve component came to Fort Indiantown Gap Sept. 6-17 for an annual platoon exchange, part of the Pennsylvania National Guard’s State Partnership Program.

Texas National Guard Soldiers enhance combat readiness during NATO exercise
