W. Va. National Guard trains with multi-national forces

Engineers from the 119th SAPPR Engineer Company, West Virginia National Guard conduct perimeter security during Saber Junction 18, a combat training exercise, in Hohenfels, Germany on Sept. 25, 2018.  The SAPPR company worked as an opposition force during the exercise alongside Bavarian and Ukrainian forces defending Ubungsdorf, a city in the Hohenfels training center.

The 119th is a part of the opposing force which simulates the enemy during the exercise scenarios. Saber Junction 18 is the 173rd Airborne Brigade’s combat training center certification exercise, taking place on the Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels training areas, Sept. 4 to Oct. 1, 2018.

U.S., Macedonia participate in flood response exercise

Guard units from Calif. and Tenn. join in Ukraine training

25-year partnership boosts more than relationships for NEANG
