South Carolina HART team performing challenging rescues

Soldiers with the South Carolina Army National Guard along with members of the S.C. Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team ensure a UH-60 Black Hawk is ready for rescue missions in response to Hurricane Florence, Charleston, SC, Sept. 14, 2018. SC-HART is a partnership between aviation units of the South Carolina Army National Guard and the South Carolina State Urban Search and Rescue Task Force.

Virginia National Guard sending support to North Carolina

Soldiers assigned to the Virginia National Guard's 1173rd Transportation Company, 529th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 329th Regional Support Group assemble six Light Medium Tactical Vehicles with supplies including food, fuel, protectice equipment met and wet weather gear Sept. 13, 2018, at the State Military Reservation in Virginia Beach. The LMTVs deployed to fire stations in Chesapeake, Virginia, to assist with possible hurricane response operations as Hurricane Florence makes landfall.

Wisconsin Guard ready to assist with Florence response

Approximately two dozen Soldiers assigned to medevac units at the Wisconsin National Guard's Army Aviation Support Facility 1 in West Bend, Wis., prep UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters Sept. 14, 2018,for movement to Maryland in response to then-Hurricane Florence, where the crews will remain in a standby status to be available in the event that civil authorities request their services. The Department of Defense began staging personnel, equipment and resources in the region to prepare for potential response missions as Hurricane Florence made landfall.

Ky. Air Guard deploys 10 special tactics troops for Florence
