Wisconsin Guard supports humanitarian project for Nicaragua

Wisconsin Army National Guard Soldiers delivered hair salon chairs, fixtures and other equipment from Hudson, Wis., to Wisconsin/Nicaragua Partners of the Americas in Stevens Point, Wis. The items will be shipped to learning centers in Nicaragua.

David Odonahue, Wisconsin's deputy adjutant general for civil support, pins the Wisconsin National Guard Emergency Service Ribbon on the collars of approximately 150 Wisconsin National Guard Soldiers and Airmen during an Aug. 10, 2019, ceremony at Unity High School in Balsom Lake, Wis. The Guard members helped clear storm debris from more than 50 miles of area roadways in the weeks following strong summer storms July 19.

Idaho National Guard’s 101st WMD CST trained with the Nampa Police Department. The 101st has the capabilities to retrieve and test chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear agents. The 101st and the Nampa Police Department have responded to real-world missions together in the past.
