Guardsman receives Utah Cross for aiding crash victim

Utah Air National Guard Tech. Sgt. Erik Bornemeier, a medical technician assigned to the 151st Medical Group, Detachment 1, receives the Utah Cross from Maj. Gen. Michael J. Turley, adjutant general, March 15, 2021, at Roland R. Wright Air National Guard Base. The Utah Cross is the second-highest state award a Utah National Guard military member can receive.

The 103rd Airlift Wing transported 12 National Science Foundation personnel and their equipment from Stratton Air National Guard Base in Scotia, New York, to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland, for the beginning of their annual climate research mission at Greenland’s ice cap.

Ohio National Guard engineers finish winter storm cleanup

An Airman from the Ohio Air National Guard’s 200th RED HORSE (Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operations Repair Squadron Engineers) Squadron, based in Port Clinton and with a detachment in Mansfield, uses a front-end loader to transfer logs cut and cleared from a Lawrence County roadway, March 2, 2021. About 40 Airmen of the 200th RED HORSE were deployed to Lawrence County to clear debris from a winter ice storm.
