Thousands of National Guard members support hurricane relief

The Louisiana National Guard has rescued 359 people and 55 pets either by high-water vehicles, by boats or by air during the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, which made landfall in south Louisiana Aug. 29, 2021, as a Category 4 storm with 150 mph winds.

Georgia National Guard deployed to hospitals

Georgia National Guard Soldiers and Airmen graduated from Grady Memorial Hospital Education Center’s Emergency Medical Services Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Program Dec. 16, 2020, in Atlanta. The course provided the service members with advanced medical training to provide elevated medical care to their units.
