Guard Biathlon Team competes in Spain, defends title in Nationals

Four members of the North Dakota National Guard Biathlon Team had the opportunity to compete in Spain at Campeonatos Naceonalis Militares de Esqui, Feb. 28 to March 4. The national military ski championships took place at the Spanish Mountain Warfare School, which is situated in a valley in the Pyrenees Mountains in northern Spain. From left are Sgt. 1st Class Kent Pulst and his son Spc. Brandon Pulst, Spc. Jordan Becker and Lt. Col. David Skalicky. The four join other teammates this week for the Chief of the National Guard Bureau Championships in Vermont.

The South Dakota Army National Guard presented three officer candidates with the South Dakota Distinguished Service Award Saturday, March 5 at 4:30 p.m. at Fort Meade. Maj.
