Boom operator flies 10,000 hours Senior Master Sgt. Anthony Trenga, an in-flight refueling technician, has flown more than 10,000 hours during his 34-year career. He is assigned to the 340th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron in Southwest Asia.

An aerostat is a lighter-than-air, inflatable, aerodynamic balloon filled with helium and air. The primary mission is to provide low-level radar surveillance along the southwest border of the United States and Mexico, the Straits of Florida and the Caribbean in support of federal agencies involved in the nation's drug interdiction program.

Over 60 Soldiers strong, the unit departed Camp Shelby, Miss, on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2006, for their yearlong deployment in Iraq.
