Vermont National Guard and Austria Formally Recognize Partnership

Leaders from Vermont, the Vermont National Guard, and the Republic of Austria gathered in Montpelier for a signing ceremony officially beginning a partnership between the Vermont National Guard and the Republic of Austria through National Guard Bureau's State Partnership Program, Wednesday, May 11, 2022. The Republic of Austria is the third partner nation with the Vermont National Guard through the State Partnership Program. Vermont also works and trains with North Macedonia and Senegal.
South Dakota Guard, Suriname Partner to Renovate School, Provide Health Services

A South Dakota Army National Guard engineer works alongside Suriname Defense Force soldiers as they conduct renovations at the Magenta Polder (Elementary) School in Suriname, April 22, 2022, as a part of the Suriname and South Dakota State Partnership Program agreement. About 30 soldiers from the South Dakota National Guard traveled to the South American country of Suriname to provide engineering support for a school renovation and medical and dental services in several community locations.

The presentation was part of a crime scene investigation subject matter expert exchange between Missouri National Guard Soldiers and members of Panama's law enforcement and protection agencies. The Missouri National Guard has partnered with the country of Panama since 1996 under the Department of Defense National Guard Bureau State Partnership Program.
