NY Air Guard members recall Vietnam battles at reunion

Former Airmen assigned to the 107th Tactical Fighter Group reunited to commemorate their return from the Vietnam War more than 50 years ago. The unit deployed more than 400 Airmen to Tuy Hoa Air Base in 1968 and returned by June 1969, with honor.

NY Air Guard, Brazil partner on Antarctic flying

Red Arrow Soldier laid to rest 75 years after death in WWII

Army Tech 5th Grade John E. Bainbridge of Sheboygan, Wis., was laid to rest Sept. 29, 2019, in Monona more than 75 years after his death during the Battle of Buna in World War II. Bainbridge joined the Wisconsin National Guard’s 32nd Infantry Division in 1940 and was killed in New Guinea Dec. 2, 1942; he rested unknown in Manila American Cemetery until his remains were identified via DNA analysis by the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency.

Guard hosts Gold Star families of fallen service members

NC, Alabama Guard complete Fire Shield 2019 in Moldova

Washington National Guard conducts tactical medicine course

The focus is on the primary interventions or the leading causes of preventable death. Utilizing a mix of classroom presentation and hands-on skills practice, attendees learn to provide basic life-sustaining treatment in a hostile environment.
