Three California Air National Guard brothers serving together

Tech. Sgt. Luis Morales Talento, left, is a supply specialist from the 386th Expeditionary Maintenance Group. His little brothers, Senior Airman Walter Morales Talento, maintenance operations center controller, and Airman 1st Class Guido Morales Talento, a crew chief, both from the 386th Expeditionary Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, have been close since growing up in Oxnard, Calif. The Morales Talento brothers are deployed together from the 146th Airlift Wing, Channel Island Air National Guard Station, Calif.

Approximately 600 Massachusetts National Guard members were deployed along the route to assist local authorities in ensuring that the 2014 Boston Marathon is as safe as realistically possible. Due to the record number of runners this year, Guardsmen from numerous states are augmenting the Massachusetts National Guard's own specialized units.
