Washington National Guard keeps up the search for mudslide victims

Falcon's presence helps put victims of sexual or physical assault more at ease, which in turn makes future visits to discuss a traumatic subject more tolerable.

50 years ago, Alaska quake became early model for joint disaster response

The large earthquake damaged National Guard offices in Alaska as well as civilian homes and facilities. These Guard members start cleaning up their own building in  Anchorage. They had just arrived there for annual training when the quake hit March 27, 1964.
