Kansas National Guard, Denmark win sniper competition

Staff Sgt. Ashton Sanford, Georgia National Guard, camouflages himself before the stalk event of the 49th Annual Winston P. Nevada Guard 'High Rollers' launch AFWERX spark cell

The 152nd Airlift Wing, Nevada Air National Guard, became the newest unit to develop an AFWERX spark cell with the creation of "Silver State Spark" in February 2020. About 70 spark cells launched around the world since the U.S. Air Force debuted AFWERX in 2017, mostly active-duty.

U.S. Air Force Tech. Sgt. Jordan Jungwirth IV, a KC-135 Stratotanker boom operator assigned to the 128th Air Refueling Wing at General Mitchell Air National Guard Base, Wisconsin, controlled the boom during an air refueling mission over the Gulf of Mexico. The KC-135 Stratotanker can hold about 200,000 pounds of fuel.

Joint airborne operation enhances interagency state capabilities

Indiana National Guard members joined forces with Ohio, Illinois and Idaho to conduct static-line, non‐tactical airborne operations from a C-130 Hercules at Columbus Airfield Feb. 18-19, 2020. The exercise provided the opportunity to conduct a currency jump and execute joint training with members of Scott Air Force Base, Idaho National Guard, and the Ohio Army Reserve.
