‘Buddy Aid’ training takes new approach to sexual assault

The training on “Buddy Aid – First Response to Sexual Assault” was sponsored by the office of the Virginia National Guard Sexual Assault Response Coordinator and included military and civilians from National Guard Bureau’s Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Office, Delaware, Maryland, Tennessee, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.
Air National Guard helps rescue 5 missing mariners

Five U.S. Air Force Guardsmen from the 155th Air Refueling Squadron, Nebraska Air National Guard, and one Guardsman from the Alaska ANG on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, March 18, 2021. The crew, assigned to the 506th Expeditionary Aerial Refueling Squadron, assisted in rescuing five men overdue from a fishing trip.

A new F-35A Lightning II refuels midair via a 168th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard KC-135R Stratrotanker, en route from the Lockheed Martin factory in Fort Worth, Texas, to the 354th Fighter Wing, Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska, April 21, 2020. The 168th will receive four more KC-135 Stratotankers and more than 200 active-duty U.S. Air Force personnel.

The aircraft practiced combat tactics alongside fifth-generation F-22 Raptors from the 199th and 19th Fighter Squadrons for exercise Pacific Raptor. The Alaska-based F-16s, known as ‘Aggressors,’ simulate combat tactics.
