Kansas National Guard medics team up for advanced training

Oregon Guard participates in emergency preparedness exercise

Guardsmen from the Oregon Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (CBRNE) Enhanced Response Force Package (CERFP) conduct mass casualty decontamination operations in an emergency preparedness exercise at Camp Rilea. It was part of an inspection conducted by the Joint Interagency Training and Education Center every two years to measure the team’s ability to respond to a disaster.

Army and Air National Guard and Army Reserve units from Georgia, Rhode Island, Ohio and Indiana came together June 14, 2021, at Camp Atterbury, Indiana. After climbing to 10,000 feet, free fall-qualified Soldiers used the Army’s new Advanced Ram Air Parachute System, which is not expected to reach full operational fielding until 2022.
116th IBCT Soldiers train on new recoilless rifle system

Virginia National Guard Soldiers assigned to the Winchester-based 3rd Battalion, 116th Infantry Regiment, 116th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, train on the M3E1 Multi-purpose Anti-armor Anti-personnel Weapon System June 4, 2021, at Maneuver Training Center Fort Pickett, Virginia. The training consisted of classroom learning and a live-fire range with the MAAWS, an 84-millimeter recoilless rifle.

KC-135 takes important step toward ABMS

On Dec. 15, 2020, the National Guard Bureau named the Utah Air National Guard as the interim KC-135 Test Detachment for AATC. Under the agreement the 151st ARW will provide aircraft, aircrew and maintenance support.
