'First Kansas' legacy lives on through redesignation

Naval and Texas Army Guard aviators join in new partnership

Aviators from the Texas Army National Guard conducted a familiarization flight aboard a CH-47 Chinook helicopter Oct. 6, 2020. The flight brought four Chinooks to Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base to demonstrate the aircraft’s capabilities to Navy personnel stationed at the facility.

Alaska Air Guard unveils new tail flash on Stratotanker

A KC-135 Stratotanker from the Alaska Air National Guard’s 168th Wing was unveiled showcasing a new tail flash on the wing’s aircraft, Oct. 15, 2020. In collaboration with Tanana Chiefs Conference, the 168th Wing honors interior communities on the wing’s aircraft. The first KC-135 honors Minto and is one of nine aircraft representing Alaska interior communities. The next to be unveiled will honor Gwichyaa Zhee, Grayling, Huslia, Tetlin, Telida, and Tanana. Fairbanks and the North Pole will be displayed on the final two aircraft.

NY Army Guard has 1st 'street to seat' Black Hawk pilot
