South Dakota National Guard and Suriname Armed Forces partner to renovate school

U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Louis Du Randt, right, 211th Engineer Company, South Dakota Army National Guard, and a Suriname Army soldier conduct renovation work at the O.S. 1 Santo Dorp School in Wanica, Suriname, Aug. 11, 2016. The renovation project was conducted as part of the Suriname and South Dakota State Partnership Program to provide training for military construction personnel while simultaneously assisting in a worthy community need.

Texas National Guard hosts Chilean undersecretary

Key leaders from the Texas Army National Guard, Air National Guard, and State Guard met with members of the Chilean Undersecretary at Camp Mabry in Austin, Texas, August 8, 2016. Through the States Partnership Program, Texas has been partnered with Chile since 2009. The program is designed to link a State’s National Guard with a partner nation’s military forces government agencies in a cooperative, mutually beneficial relationship.

New Jersey's 177th Civil Engineers provide humanitarian and civic assistance in Albania

New Jersey Air National Guard civil engineers check the level of a galvanized pipe from a gravity fed water supply tank at medical clinic in Vau i Dejës, Albania, on July 8, 2016. The 177th Fighter Wing unit members traveled to Albania on a Deployment For Training (DFT) and worked on Humanitarian and Civic Assistance renovation projects facilitated by the U.S. Army's 457th Civil Affairs Battalion. New Jersey and Albania are paired under the National Guard's State Partnership Program.

New Mexico military police give a makeover to Costa Rican school site

West Virginia welcomes Peruvian MPs during State Partnership Program visit

West Virginia’s Camp Dawson was home to five Peruvian officers June 15 to 19, continuing a 20-year partnership between Peru’s Army and the West Virginia Army National Guard.The WVARNG’s 151st Military Police Battalion hosted the visit, the first time that branch has been involved in the West Virginia-Peru State Partnership Program. The Peruvian officers observed the 157th Military Police Company's annual training, granting them the opportunity to interact with WVARNG Soldiers and share knowledge.
