Iowa National Guard uses moulage for realistic medical training

Sgt. Krystal Thibault, an Iowa National Guard medical trainer at the Sustainment Training Center on Camp Dodge, applies a mock wound using the moulage technique Feb. 12, 2020. Thibault applied several kinds of mock injuries to Alabama National Guard Soldiers during their medical training rotation. Moulage is used to add a level of realism when training to evaluate casualties.
