Kentucky Airman awarded the rare Distinguished Flying Cross

Lt. Col. John "J.T." Hourigan, a pilot for the 123rd Airlift Wing, is pinned with the Distinguished Flying Cross by Gen. David L. Goldfein, Air Force chief of staff, during a ceremony at the Kentucky Air National Guard Base in Louisville, Ky., Aug. 10, 2019. Hourigan earned the award for preventing a catastrophic, in-flight mishap that would have resulted in the loss of aircraft and crew.

Georgia Army National Guard welcomes 230 new Soldiers
