Kosovo: Georgia Guard's newest citizen Soldier

Army Staff Sgt. Rodrigo Mondaca, a supply sergeant with the Georgia Army National Guard's 3rd Squadron, 108th Cavalry Regiment, officially became a U.S. citizen in a naturalization ceremony conducted at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, Jan. 20, 2012. Mondaca is one of approximately 10,000 deployed military members who have taken the oath since 2001.

These proposed rules would, in part, enable more military family members to take the time they need to care for their loved ones without fear of career repercussions.
