More than 20 law enforcement agencies trekked to The Michigan National Guard's 127th Wing Feb. 9, 2012, as the FBI held a field office visit and table top exercise designed to guide actions that would be utilized during an actual weapons of mass destruction contingency response in the Detroit area. Trisha Smeenk, a Public Affairs journalist with the South Dakota Air National Guard's 114th Fighter Wing was chosen as the 2012 Miss Rodeo USA at the International Finals Rodeo held in Oklahoma City, Okla. Jan. 15, 2012. Smeenk has been a member of the South Dakota Air National Guard for seven years and looks forward to continuing her career with the unit after her reign as Miss Rodeo USA concludes in January 2013.
