Wyoming Air National Guard MAFFS unit eager to continue fight against Colorado wildfires
June 29, 2012
Members of the 153rd Airlift Wing load a U.S. Forest Service Modular Airborne Firefighting System II onto a C-130 Hercules aircraft in support of operations suppressing wildfires in Colorado. Working out of Peterson Air Force Base, Colo., the more than 65,000 gallons of retardant have been dropped by crews from the 153rd AW and 302nd Airlift Wing on the Waldo Canyon wildfire.
