Minnesota, Ohio Guard prepare to deploy with partners

Croatian and Minnesota National Guard Soldiers prepare to clear a room during an Operational Mentoring and Liaison Team training exercise at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center. The U.S. and multinational troops will deploy together to Afghanistan as part of the NATO International Security Assistance Force. The OMLT will help with the ISAF mission of assisting the Government of Afghanistan in establishing and maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Air National Guard names 2010 Youth of the Year

Dakota C. Johnson, 16, of Gastonia, N.C., was recently selected as the Air National Guard 2010 Youth of the Year. The rising senior at Highland School of Technology, along with 10 other Air Force Youths of the Year winners will be flown to Washington D.C., to attend a ceremony and teen forum at the Pentagon.

Illinois Guard participates in medical exercise in Tunisia

Chiefs Stafford and Bohm, along with Air National Guard and Army Reservists from Wyoming, Arizona, and Nevada traveled to northern Africa to help enhance the medical capabilities and interoperabilities between United States and Tunisian forces.

New York Guard hosts South African defense force chief
